Solana's SOL token surged nearly 10% over the past 24 hours, fueled by bullish momentum across cryptocurrency markets. This rally occurred alongside record-breaking futures volume on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), where 1.75 million SOL derivative contracts traded—marking an all-time high.

The altcoin rebounded sharply from a recent low of $125, reaching $146 as institutional interest intensified. Although still 50% below its January 2025 peak of $294, SOL's price action indicates growing confidence among sophisticated investors. The CME derivatives market has become a critical gauge for institutional crypto participation.

According to Glassnode, the futures milestone coincided with SOL's recovery from lows triggered by Middle East tensions. The token last traded above $150 on June 20 before the broader market downturn dragged Bitcoin toward $98,000 and SOL to its recent bottom.
